Bega Circular Valley Challenge is Underway!


SIX new local businesses have just joined the Bega Circular Valley Challenge!

BVIH has partnered with Bega Circular Valley, offering a significant prize-pool for SouthEast NSW regional Circular Business Ideas/Services to join the next regional Activate cohort to accelerate their business idea.


$30,000 has been committed through BVIH’s sponsors: the University of WollongongBega Valley Shire CouncilBega Cheese and ANU Institute of Water Futures towards a prize-pool for this program.

SIX successful applicants have commenced the 9 week iAccelerate Activate Program, a combination of online modules + live/zoom mentored session weekly. This program includes mentorship from experts across Australia, overseas and right here in the Bega Valley.


The Circularity Challenge will culminate in a Pitch-Final event in Bega on 24 November 2022.

EPA Grants Calendar 


The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has released a grants calendar for critical funding opportunities that are available under the Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041: Stage 1 Plan: 2021-2027 and the NSW Plastics Action Plan.

These priority programs will help transition NSW to a circular economy and help mitigate impacts from climate change. The investment builds on a number of successful initiatives and programs funded through the Waste Less Recycle More initiative.

Final call for applications for the 2023 Regional Youth Taskforce to lead change in your community.

There’s still time to apply for the 2023 Regional Youth Taskforce, an advisory group that shares feedback and ideas for change with the Minister for Regional Youth and the Office for Regional Youth, about issues that affect young people living in regional NSW.
